I understand and hope is fine. But better is “understanding how things work”.

Because once you understand how things work, in a sense, and I know this sounds a little contradictory, you no longer need hope.

And that's all there is to it.

It may not create that result in someone else, but it will create it in your experiential reality.

當你理解「事物如何運作」的道理，
你並不需要「希望」。
因為你明白
你的「行為」在一定的狀態下會產生一定的「結果」。
Hope is unnecessary when you have knowledge of “how things work”.
Because you know that your actions, in a certain state of being, will create a certain result.
